Buildings Designs not built St Anne, Lancaster

St Anne, Lancaster

The Building News in January 1892 reported: “Plans have been prepared by Mr Richard K Freeman, Manchester diocesan surveyor, for entirely rebuilding, at an estimated cost of £3000 to £4000, St Anne’s Church, Lancaster. The present structure was erected in 1796.”

Freeman’s scheme was not implemented, but the church itself was altered in 1894 by the creation of a new entrance to Moor Lane. It is not known if this work was done by Freeman
