St Paul, Walkden

Listed Grade II; in use as church

The Manchester Guardian of 11 August 1887 reported that: “Yesterday, at the fortnightly meeting of the Barton Rural Sanitary Authority, plans were submitted by Mr Freeman, architect, of Bolton, for the erection of a two-storeyed vestry on the north-west side of St Paul’s Church, Walkden. The plans were approved. The cost, along with other improvements which it is proposed to carry out in the above edifice will be £600.”
